Menalo Hotel Premium, a complex consisting of five apartment-style buildings and a central lobby building, underwent a comprehensive outdoor transformation with the installation of a Skylounge Bioclimatic Pergola and motorised Up & Down Guillotine glass system. The property previously lacked a dedicated shared area for dining and guest waiting. By enclosing a 150 m² open space adjacent to the main lobby, the hotel gained a spacious, flexible dining area designed for year-round use.
The Skylounge Bioclimatic Pergola features a rotating louvered roof combined with insulated glazing, allowing the space to adapt to varying weather conditions. During warmer periods, the louvres can be adjusted and the guillotine glass panels lowered to encourage natural ventilation and airflow. A four-metre-high structure enhances spatial comfort while supporting thermal performance and acoustic insulation, ensuring a balanced and comfortable environment throughout the year.
To further elevate user experience, integrated LED lighting was incorporated within the louvre system, enhancing ambience during evening use. The area was also equipped with Sercair Pure, a smart air ventilation device supported by indoor air quality sensors that monitor carbon dioxide, VOC levels, and airborne particles, introducing filtered fresh air when required. The redesign aimed to establish a refined yet welcoming atmosphere through minimal, high-quality detailing. The completed space has redefined the hotel’s shared environment, creating a bright, modern, and highly functional setting that strengthens the overall identity of the complex.
